Bangalore University, in association with the Ministry of Education, Government of India and the Department of Higher Education,Government of Karnataka will be conducting a first-of-its-kind 3-day Agentic AI Saksham Program from March 25, 2026. The programme aims to create a strong platform for learning, innovation, and collaboration in the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence, with a special focus on Agentic AI technologies.
The inaugural session will be graced by Smt. Kushboo G. Chowdhari, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Government of Karnataka; Shri Armstrong Pame, Joint Secretary (RUSA), Ministry of Education, Government of India; and Smt. Manjushree N, IAS, Commissioner, Department of Collegiate and Technical Education. The programme will be presided over by Dr. Jayakara S.M, Vice-Chancellor, Bangalore University, in the presence of Smt. K.T. Shanthala, Registrar, Dr. K.G. Chandrashekara, Executive Director, Karnataka Higher Education Council, Dr. Amit Singh, Section Officer, Ministry of Education (GoI), Smt. Ananya Pattanayak, Senior Consultant, PM-USHA, Mr. Umang Surana, Co-founder, Capabl, and Dr. Muralidhara B.L, Senior Professor and Programme Coordinator. Around 700 students and 100 faculty members from different colleges are participating in this workshop.
On the final day of the programme, a hackathon will be conducted, which will be evaluated by a panel of ten industry experts. This initiative reflects the joint efforts of the Government of India and the State Education Department to promote advanced technological learning. Based on the outcomes of this workshop, the Government of India is likely to replicate this model in other parts of the country, marking a significant step toward strengthening AI education and capacity building nationwide.
